What are the advantages of fiberglass windows over regular wood, vinyl or aluminum windows?

Energy Efficiency:
20-40% savings in energy, heating and cooling costs when compared to other window types.

Reduction in both moisture & condensation.

Reduced Noise:
Fiberglass windows provide tight seals, which provide a high resistance to sound transmission, reducing exterior noise to a minimum.

Resistant to bowing, therefore continuously smooth operation.

Fiberglass is a natural insulator because it is does not conduct heat and cold and it doesn't expand or contract.

Ease of Installation:
Fiberglass windows remain square, level and plumb during the installation process.

Are there specific environmental benefits to fiberglass windows that I should know about?

When it comes to available window materials, fiberglass windows have the lowest overall environmental impact. The energy efficiency and long life of fiberglass windows significantly reduces the need for purchased energy. The impact of fiberglass windows on the depletion of resources as well as embodied energy is limited.

Why should I choose Fibertec fiberglass triple pane windows?

High-tech fiberglass lineals offer an exciting alternative to metal, plastic, or wood frame windows. All the advantages of competing systems with none of their disadvantages.

The ultimate window-frame material, pultruded fiberglass, differs from common fiberglass used in pools, boats, and storage tanks. Continuous strands of glass are saturated in a thermoset resin, and pass through a heated die. They are pulled through, the die, rather than pushed or extruded, through the die - hence the term pultrusion.

Fibertec fabricates these dimensionally stable window lineals into window frames. By filling the fiberglass frames with foam insulation and glazing them with high efficiency insulating glass, Fibertec has produced the ultimate high performance window.

Fibertec Window System meets the needs of designers and builders who wish to go beyond the limitations inherent with metal, plastic or wood frame fenestration. Pultruded fiberglass has proven to be a superior material in five ways: dimensional stability, thermal insulation, durability and aesthetics, and environmental friendliness.

In the pultrusion process, continuous fibers reinforcing in roving or mat/roving forms are drawn through a specially formulated resin bath to coat each fiber with a thermosetting resin mixture. The coated fibers are assembled by a forming guide and then drawn through a heated die. Cure of the thermosetting resin is activated by heat in the die and catalyst in the resin mix. Unlike aluminum or PVC which are pushed through a die and then worked at the exit end, the pultrusion process pulls the material, hence the name, through the die and the resulting profile is cut to length as it leaves the die. It is then ready for use without further forming or treatment.

Fibertec triple pane windows also come with a lifetime transferrable warranty.
